I want to take a moment to publicly say thank you to my Sifu, Sifu Brian K Edwards, and my SiBak/SiGong… SiFu Doc Savage for their influence on my life and contributions to my Journey, today simply would not have been possible without their blessings and support.
You have been and are the primary influences on my Kung Fu.

For my other mentors in Wing Chun and other styles, in particular Sensei Scott Mangrum, I am likewise grateful
I want to also thank my wife who is very supportive of my martial pursuits and has been for years.

To Yah’, who has blessed me, praise and thanks for sending so many wonderful people, both friends and family into my life.

And last but not least, When I was ready, while I would not have sought such, when I was ready, God gave me enemies. Time has taught me the value of such, to that I only have two things to say…Thank you Yah’…and

FUD!

I am truly blessed, thank you all…this is a day I will take with me for the rest of my life!

Last night was such a great class! Focusing on specific aspects of Wing Chun and breaking them down is where it’s at. A simple concept discussion ended up blowing my mind and now I have to look at things differently and progress my understanding. This is why I drive two hours for a one hour lesson, thank you Sifu!

It still amazes me how much Sifu Doc has to share, I have been training with Sifu Doc Savage for over 12 years and he still shows me techniques to use in scenarios that I have not yet seen. Maybe he is just dragging me along or maybe he has such a deep understanding of Wing Chun that as I learn more he is able to teach me more. I understand there are those who could ” destroy” me in a confrontation but maybe with continued commitment and training I will be able to protect myself and my family from such individuals.
It was great to train with my new found Memphis family, and Ed I hope I didn’t ruin the disillusion you had with how easy it is to get out of the ” rear naked choke hold.” And Justin I will be sure to work on my hitting skills so as not to disappoint you again by how soft my hands are and how weak my hits are.

That was some good sh*t, these seminars really hit ya to the core. I called SiFu Doug and thanked him again for teaching us as you taught him. Not only did he not water it down he encouraged us as students to go to the source. I can’t thank my SiFu enough for turning on the light to the path , I just never expected you to shed that much light on it. Thanks SiGong Doc for everything.

Instruction in situational awareness
What to do in the first 3 seconds in any confrontation.
State of mind one has to have in order to quickly and decisively end any confrontation.
What techniques work on three levels: Good-Better and Best and a combination of all three.
Skillful use of the surrounding structures, meaning: Tables/Chairs, Benches/Steps
Multiple Attackers : Bars, Convenience stores and Restaurants.

I get knocked down but I get up again! FUD!

Thank you SiGong Doc for the privilege of training at your Seminar this December. Although I have only been training Shadowhand for a few months, my level of understanding increased tremendously. This was due, in part, not only from your uncanny ability to catch an error from yards away, stop the class to have them watch as you thoroughly explained the error, but also the patient corrections I received from ALL the teachers I had the benefit to train with. I would encourage all students, no matter how short a time you have been training, to seek out a seminar you believe you’d be comfortable with and set your goal to attend!
I would also like to thank Bobby for his input as well as the area to train, and his father Bill for providing the vitals. Thanks again brothers for your patience, as I’m saving for the next seminar while I start to assimilate the impressive amount of knowledge from my notes.

Great Seminar Sifu, walking away with tons of knowledge and concept to practice and absorb. thank you Bobby and Family for the place to stay and the food was great!!! Sifu Doc can always show you something new in a drill you’ve done a ton of times, fine tuning techniques and furthering our understanding of Wing Chun concepts and applications. Another amazing seminar! Unfortunately I was only able to spend one day but even after being a student for 5 years I still learned something new. Excellent Shadowhand Wing Chun seminar this past weekend!
In three years with White Rose, I got a jacked-up version of 14 Gon Sau drills. In one weekend with SiFu Doc Savage, the creator of the Gon Sau drills, I learned 1-28. We also learned Close-up Drills and some of the Wooden Man Form. No stringing students along in Shadowhand!!!

The private on Thursday was awesome!
Nice thorough review of the Gon Sau drills and the Close Up drills.
Especially enlightening for me was the footwork; the use of 2nd form concepts; Bil Jee hands; and, as always… the importance of good elbow pressure! 😉

Another banging seminar! Love training with the guys old & new! Saving up for the next one already! BTW the on-site lunch idea is a major improvement even if you are brown-bagging it. For future outings I issue this challenge: show up with twenty (20) fighting questions in hand! Let’s see WC from your perspective; might be something we don’t think about any more/take for granted as a given/or in my case never considered in the first place. While we have such a great source at our disposal we need to maximize!!!!

It’s amazing how the White Rose students continue to try to slander SiFu Savage. I guess it’s what they have to do to make it seem like their school is legit. I’ve been to both seminars in Huntsville and SiFu Savage hasn’t changed not one bit of how or what he teaches. Anyone who says otherwise is a liar and a deceiver. As far as Ed being a SiFu in Tennessee isn’t of anyone’s concern. The definition of SiFu is “Teacher” or “Father”. It in no way means master and being a SiFu doesn’t mean you’ve mastered the art. Ed is a SiFu because he is teaching Wing Chun and had come to SiFu Savage to learn truth and to learn Shadowhand Wing Chun. He proved himself worthy and he makes visits often to Florida to train hard to become better for his students. That is good enough to hold the title of “SiFu”. If any student at White Rose would train as hard as they try to slander SiFu Savage’s or SiFu Ed’s name then maybe they’ll actually become a good wing chun practitioner. For anyone who really wants to study, search, and test come down to Florida and find out for yourselves. Just like many others have. Oh, and riddle me this batman? Why is it that several students of White Rose defected to join Shadowhand and not the other way around? The proof is in the punch!

To SiGung Doc Savage: “To give you an honest answer about your challenge for me to waste my time and money driving to Holt, FL so you can “teach” me a lesson, I say nay to you sir. I’ve already attended a seminar in which you conducted. I’ve already bought your “manual” and forms DVD. I’ve had enough of the Doc Savage Shadowhand scheme. I have studied, searched, and tested. My findings have concluded that you did indeed lie to all of us last time you were here as your teachings changed in just under a year from seminar to seminar. Everyone I have spoken to that attended both of your Huntsville seminars confirmed for me that you changed the simple basics, and in doing so you attempted to lead us astray. I did appreciate the fact I got to meet my SiGung, a man of which I had heard so much about, and I was thankful that you had my girlfriend at the time and myself sit down with yourself, SiFu Carroll, Bobby, and the rest for dinner at Santa Fe Cattle Co. In my personal experience with you, the thought of you is associated with betrayal and lies as I wanted to believe that perhaps it was all some sort of weird lesson. Turns out, the lesson was that I was not to trust you. A hard lesson learned, but learned none-the-less. I am glad to see that just after only two or three seminars, you gave the title of “SiFu” to my kung fu brother Ed. Just goes to show even after all the shit talking you and your boys do about my SiFu’s teachings that he must have had enough skill to show up only a few times and be handed such a title.
In any case, I sincerely thank you for teaching my SiFu all that you have. Upon my first class with him I knew Wing Chun Kung Fu is what I wanted to learn exclusively. I’m happy to be a part of what is now called White Rose Wing Chun.

My Crack-Daddy abandons his children to suck a glass pipe filled with rose petals. He feeds his addiction of meglamania by sacrificing his own children’s futures. He is no better than the Crack-mamma who does the same, seeking the same. My Crack Mamma is whore named Rose, but she smells like anything but sharing her secret places with any who will pay her price. Her children too are neglected for her husband is a pimp whose heirarchy of concerns, start an end with his addiction to self, his addiction to Ego.

I know we are trying not to poke fun at such persons…but I do not speak as one poking fun, rather in all seriousness, pointing that is sad, truly sad, for there are other children being pimped, abused, neglected by crack, hidden from view world by parents who love to sing the loudest from the pews of the congregation the Carrolls of the Season, singing off key, but proudly so, arrogantly so, feigning righteousness on Sunday, only to prostitute their children on Monday, in effort to feed their addictions through Friday.

It is not the fault of the child who finds himself in the toxic relationship, who finds themselves the child of Crack-Daddy who in the face of parental obligations in negligent and when confronted with the same flees like “Dust-in the Wind.” Nor is the fault of the child whose mother abandons the NUTURE which SHOULD HAVE been in her nature to become Crack-Whore Mamma.
While the children hold their tongues for love of parents undeserving…and hold with their silence, also their eyes to the floor and the heads hung low as the realize none in the Church Congregation are buying the feigned righteousness of the Crack-Daddy and his Rose…but see them for what they are.

To these children, I would say as an older brother, the first born of Crack-Daddy, the first to call him “Father”…my younger siblings, abandon your shame, for it is not yours to wear, and sooner or later, these parents will come to their end, standing in a spotlight of their own neglect and abuse…

In the face of all this, while crack parents are nothing new and the truth of the same is sad, there is a very bright shining gift from heaven.

While it is not the fault of the Children that their parents have abandoned righteousness to choose addiction, some will go on to become the same, but some will along the way find salvation.

There are likewise good parents out there, whose children choose addiction, and the addiction of Crack Parents are not always the fault of the grandparents. How do you tell the difference in parents whose children grew up to be crackheads? How do you tell which parents contributed to the same addictions in their children and which ones did not? You tell it by their actions in the midst of such chaos. The righteous grandparent will take their grandchildren away from their own children, when their children have gone astray. They will not abandon “THE FUTURE”, for sake of “THE PRESENT.”

I THANK GOD for a RIGHTEOUS GRANDFATHER, not just willing, but waiting to take in his grandchildren, orphaned by their parents addictions.

I am grateful, to My SiGong, and to those who once called me brother, some of you will sadly adopt the addictions of Mamma-Rose as your own. It should be so, and it does not have to be so, but some of you, you know right from wrong, you see Crack-Daddy and Mamma-Rose for what they are, for their true natures…and I am telling you, no one put me up to this, no one knew I would be posting. How many of you my brothers and sisters still in the chains of abuse who come to this page and read silently, who visit and hide fact of the same…how many of you have been asked to sing false praises to feed the addictions of ego; how many of you who visit this page knowing if you were caught you’d be beaten and humiliated, ostracized and abandoned with even the poor food on your menu’s removed; how many of you knowing the truth have abandoned the same to choose the promotion of lies, if only by your silent witness of the same; by our Crack-Daddy and Mamma-Rose?

You have a Loving Grandfather, willing to welcome you, to embrace you, to give the nurture and nourishment you have been so deprived of.
He has embraced me, he has embraced others. He will not tolerate un-righteousness for those of you given to the addictions of Crack-Daddy and Mamma-Rose, so for some I recommend you find another path, seek other options, for those given to righteousness, to a path of choosing “RIGHT DOING”…I am testifying to you as I praise heaven itself and God her ruler, that I have a righteous Grandparent who took me in when I was orphaned by the addictions of my parents, I am testifying to you who visit in silence and fear of discovery of having done the same…

it just so happens that I can add, and off the top of my head, I can tell you that from Memphis ALONE, Dunce-tan pulled in at least $12K over the 3 years I studied under him. Yet, I hadn’t even learned all the 3rd level gan sau drills from him, and not even a single move from the wooden man form. I can say with all confidence that he strung me along. For anyone who wants to call BS on my claim, keep this in mind: I have receipts and bank statements.
